About the Speakers and Topics

Creating user assistance in a Web 2.0 world with Adobe AIR

If you have visited Adobe Labs lately, you may have read about the RoboHelp Packager for Adobe AIR, which allows you to convert existing WebHelp files generated using Adobe RoboHelp to an Adobe AIR application. Help and knowledge bases delivered as Adobe AIR applications have a consistent look and feel across Windows, Macintosh, and Linux platforms. It’s a whole new way of providing “help as an application” based on a fast-growing cross-platform technology called Adobe Integrated Runtime (Adobe AIR). Attend this session to know more…

Panel Discussion – “Authoring Tools Versus Writing Skills

  1. Pawan Nayar, Senior Documentation Manager, Adobe Systems
  2. Ashu Saini, Documentation Manager, Bharti Telesoft
  3. Deepshikha Seth, Documentation Manager, Nucleus Software

Moderator: Alok Sharma, SafeNet

“Creating a Sustainable Multimedia Demo Creation Process”

This paper talks about how to define a multimedia demo creation process for your business unit or organization.

You will learn how to:

  • identify the content that makes a good demo candidate, set relationship in a demo suite (small demos, large demos, CBTs, demos that call small demos etc).
  • define a basic storyboard check list that helps you capture the best of what you want to demonstrate or highlight in identified content that you want to demo.
  • set a basic process that you can replicate to create consistent demos across your organization.

Debate – “Innovation and Creativity are Practically Impossible in Tech Writing”

In this session, we would be diving the group into “For” and “Against” for this topic and let the participants debate on the topic. Do come prepared with your inputs, either for or against this topic…

Documentation Review Cycle

Shalini Vaishnav would explain how the documentation review cycle is done in companies, challenges faced, and would also request contribution from the participants…
