Delhi (NCR) STC Regional Conference – December 8, 2007 @ Oracle, Noida

Well, it was really great to organize a Regional Conference in Delhi, especially in December Winter 🙂

We tried to have parallel sessions this time but we managed to have only one.

Multiple sessions happened throughout the day starting from Vivek Jain’s (Group Product Manager, Adobe India) “Adobe Technical Communication Suite”

Followed by Mak’s innovative session on “The business management lessons I learnt from my gardening hobby”. It was a mind-boggling session. Everyone were hypnotized with his session and the session was very lively and full of energy (in fact we had this session after lunch 😉 )

Post-lunch we had an interesting session by Rajeev Jain, Zilog – on “Introduction to API”. It was a great session and participants were questioning, “Is this all, really? Is it that easy?” and most of them even wondered, then why people are not venturing into it. Rajeev said there is a mind block that API means to study and learn coding and we all are very familiar with the famous saying, “anything related to coding, writers take a sharp u-turn” 😛

Finally we had one parallel session -> Rachna Ganguli’s “Test plans as a source of improving documentation quality” and the other was Manisha Khurana’s “Open Source Software for Technical Communication”

Both were wonderful sessions and in between we also had a group picture.

This time luckily I got the pictures downloaded to my laptop on the same day itself (thanks to Himanshu from Oracle) and they are available here in my Picasa Album (please click here)

Thanks to all the sponsors, speakers, volunteers and participants for making this event a memorable one 🙂
